40cm Shibori Cream and Fawn Silk Saree Lampshade
These shades are hand dyed by artisans using an ancient technique from Japan known as shibori and inspired by the ripples on the sand on a beach. The Tussar or wild silk is produced from larvae of several species of silkworms belonging to the moth genus Antheraea. The silk which has been tightly gathered to produce the undulating pattern has a wonderful crinkled quality which adds to the texture of the silk.
Use medium sized lamp bases to display this lampshade - anything from 35cm - 45cm in height.
Duplex fitting to fit on a shade carrier of 5" - 6" depending on how high you would like the shade to sit.
