45cm Pink White And Ecru Silk Ikat Lampshade
Ikat is a technique used to pattern textiles that employs resist dyeing on the yarns prior to dyeing and weaving the fabric. In ikat the resist is formed by binding individual yarns or bundles of yarns with a tight wrapping applied in the desired pattern before being woven into cloth. This laborious process results in a subtle bleeding of the edges which gives woven ikat its unique quality. Our lampshades are made from the finest silk ikat from Uzbekistan where it is hand-woven on small looms.
Use medium sized lamp bases (anything from 40cm - 50cm in height) to display these lovely lampshades.
Duplex fitting to fit on a shade carrier of 5" - 7" depending on how high you would like the shade to sit.
