Handwoven Banana Fibre Round Rug, 1.5m

Texture is the star of this circular rug. Handmade by a community initiative near Hampi in Karnataka, South India, each rug is woven from natural banana fibres in a tight, concentric spiral that gives the surface a rich, tactile depth. The fibres range from pale honey and golden amber to deep chestnut and espresso, so every piece carries its own subtle, sun-warmed variation in colour.

At 1.5m across, it’s ideal for anchoring a reading corner, sitting beneath a round table or warming a hallway. I
