Framed Kuba Cloth

This is an authentic Kuba textile panel from the Democratic Republic of Congo, hand-woven from raffia palm fiber and embellished with traditional embroidered geometric motifs. 

Made by artisans of the Kuba Kingdom (Kasai region), this style of textile was historically used for ceremonial dress, prestige skirts, and as a marker of status among Kuba royalty and nobility. Kuba design is known for its intentional asymmetry — no two panels are identical, and the irregularity is considered part of the art form rather than a flaw.

This piece has been custom mounted and framed in a light wood frame with a neutral fabric background, ready to hang as a striking piece of textile wall art.
