Monkeybiz South African Beaded Sheep Green

Found on our travels in South Africa, these striking beaded animals immediately captured our attention. Produced in collaboration with Monkeybiz in Cape Town, each piece reflects a deep respect for traditional beadwork and the individuality of the maker.

This large green beaded sheep is created using a lively mix of green, red, orange, and yellow glass beads, with a bold chevron pattern that gives it a wonderfully playful feel. Designed as a decorative, ornamental piece, it makes a strong visual statement on a console, shelf, or sideboard and is ideal for adding a distinctive touch to a room.

Monkeybiz works closely with township beading communities, providing artisans with richly coloured glass beads and materials free of charge, alongside mentoring and long-term support. Each woman chooses her own colour palette and develops her own pattern, ensuring that every beaded animal is completely one of a kind. The result is Ethical, Fair-Trade art that carries both cultural heritage and contemporary design.
