Vintage Uzbek Suzani Textile, Cream & Magenta (Square)

Hand-embroidered in Uzbekistan, this square suzani is worked in soft cream and honey tones, with a single large sunburst medallion at its heart. At the centre, a deep magenta flower is flanked by four golden-yellow curling motifs. Sweeping, feather-like leaf scrolls in mustard, caramel and green curve around the medallion, and a border of leaves and pale rosettes frames the whole piece. The dense, chain-stitched embroidery gives the surface a rich, velvety texture, with areas of soft wear and fading that add to its vintage character.

Hang it as a wall hanging, drape it over a bed or sofa, or use it as a statement tablecloth. Its muted, earthy palette and single flash of magenta make it an easy focal point in natural, relaxed interiors.
