Our cotton lampshades come in a selection of hand block prints, ranging from the traditional to the bang-up-to-the-minute. Sourced from Jaipur in Rajasthan, the home of the ancient art of block printing, and available in sizes from 15 cm to 60 cm, they are designed to brighten up your home in a cheerful and uncomplicated way.

We also have a newly launched collection of hand-woven cotton shades. The cotton has been woven by women in Assam, who are encouraged and supported to work in their own homes under a project run by the Tata Trust. These new shades come in soft blue and pretty pink, and carry with them the beauty of handwoven fabric and the spirit of the people who made them.

The Cotton Lampshade Collection celebrates craftsmanship, colour, and simplicity. Each shade is made from either block print cotton or hand-woven cotton, bringing a sense of warmth and authenticity to any space.

The block-printed designs are created in Jaipur, where the centuries-old craft of hand block printing continues to flourish. Using wooden blocks, each pattern is carefully stamped by hand: a rhythmic process that produces beautiful, slightly irregular prints that are full of life and charm. The resulting fabric is soft, breathable, and naturally textured, making it ideal for lampshades that diffuse light softly and evenly.

Our hand-woven cotton lampshades from Assam tell a different story: one of patience, tradition, and empowerment. Each shade is made from fabric woven by skilled women artisans who work from their own homes, keeping their craft alive while supporting their families. The cotton they produce has a wonderful texture, crisp yet supple, and looks especially lovely in these subtle shades of blue and pink.
