Vintage Uzbek Rectangular Suzani, Gold & Red

Hand-embroidered in Uzbekistan, this rectangular suzani is worked in warm honey-gold and cream, with six large sunburst medallions set between jagged-edged panels. Small red blossoms, plus pink and teal flower centres add pops of colour, and scrolling leaf and wave borders frame the whole piece. The dense, chain-stitched embroidery gives the surface a rich, velvety texture, with areas of soft wear and fading that add to its vintage character.

Hang it as a wall hanging, drape it over a sofa or bed as a throw, or use it as a statement tablecloth. Its soft golden tones sit easily alongside natural, earthy interiors.
